The Teen Challenge Outreach Team attend the Salvation Army 'Centenary House' Night Hostel beside Custom House Square every Saturday Night. 'Centenary House' is the only night shelter in the whole of the city of Belfast, meaning that those in desperate need of shelter who do not get a bed, have no where else to sleep but on the streets. With only twelve rooms this is often the reality that our saturday Night Team face.
Those asking for shelter are often alcoholics, drug addicts or homeless people who have encountered unfortunate circumstances. Our Team endeavour to provide support in the form of clothing, food, tea/coffee refreshments and emotional support. A lot of the people who attend the bus have gut wrenching stories, are at rock bottom and are in desperation. Our Volunteers show the love of 'the One' who died for all our sins, our situations and our circumstances and 'the One' in our earthly and spiritual darkness: JESUS
We have witnessed the Lord moving in awesome ways and have developed close and lasting relationships with many of those who have come on the bus. We have seen lives changed and can testify that 'He is able'!.
