Teen Challenge Belfast are delighted to announce that our new ministry headquarters and drop-in centre on the Albertbridge Road was officially launched on Saturday 18th January 2014. A great crowd gathered to celebrate the launch of our new building which is a significant milestone in the history of Teen Challenge Belfast. In six years, the Lord has moved in incredible ways and we have witnessed many miracles, celebrated many victories and mourned many losses. The new ministry headquarters is a another sign of Gods continuous faithfulness upon our ministry and we give him all the glory.
The building launch started with a time of celebration and dedication with words from Lee McClelland (Belfast Team Leader) and prayers from Pastor Phil Hills (Teen Challenge UK Director) and local pastor Lawerence Edgar (The Upper Room Church). Lee introduced David close, a local young man who previously attended our bus ministry outreach before joing the Teen Challenge programme at Willoughby House in Nottinghamshire, who would be cutting the ribbon with his mother to start the celebrations.
Guests then proceeded to brave the elements outdoor as the ribbon was cut by David and the doors of the new Teen Challenge Belfast officially opened to the public. Refreshments were then provided and a guest book available for those in attendence to write their thoughts and best wishes.
Teen Challenge Belfast would like to thank all who came out to support us and those who provided their time to help in the preparations and making of the food and refreshments on the day. Please continue to pray for David as he is entering the final phase in the Teen Challenge Programme and he hopes to return to Belfast to help those in the same situation he came from.
